About the Macmillan Cake Sale held on the 30th of September.

We hosted a delightful Macmillan Cake Sale, bringing together students, teachers, and parents to support a wonderful cause. The event aimed to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, an organisation dedicated to providing vital support to individuals affected by cancer. The gym was transformed into a cake stall, with tables adorned with a range of different cakes generously donated by staff in our community. Staff also displayed their baking talents, offering everything from classic chocolate cakes to homemade cannolis. The event fostered a strong sense of community, as everyone came together to support those in need. Students from the GIFT team and the Caritas ambassadors volunteered their break time to support this wonderful event. The teamwork and enthusiasm were evident as everyone worked together to set up the sale and spread the word around the school.

Throughout the day, students and teachers enthusiastically bought treats, with many returning for seconds! The event not only raised awareness about cancer support but also collected a fantastic sum of money for Macmillan. By the end of the day, the total raised reached £185.42, a testament to the school community’s generosity and spirit.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, baked, and donated! Your efforts made the Macmillan Cake Sale a resounding success. Together, we made a positive impact, helping to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. We look forward to hosting more events in the future that bring our school community together while supporting important causes. Until next time, keep baking and spreading kindness!
