Please look in the sections below to learn more about how we receive the Sacraments at Mount St Joseph.
The Chapel is at the heart of the school and was consecrated by Bishop Brain to celebrate the Centenary of the school in 2002. In our Chapel we have frequent services and times where students can visit. Smaller masses are held in the Chapel with larger masses being held in the school hall.
We have a range of masses and services throughout the school year including:
Year 7 Welcome Mass
Advent Mass
Ash Wednesday Celebration
Stations of the Cross
Year 11 Leavers Mass
We work closely with our Parish Priests and our Lay Chaplain, Mr Haughton, to support the Confirmation Programme. All enquiries and requests for information should be made to both the school and to the local Parish Priest.
As part of our seasonal Reconciliation services during Advent and Lent, students will have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. These services will be arranged in collaboration with our clergy, offering students a special time to encounter God’s grace and forgiveness in a prayerful and reflective environment. We warmly encourage all students to take part in this important sacrament as a way to deepen their faith and prepare their hearts for these sacred seasons.
